On January 15, 2020, Corporations Canada will introduce new service fees and standards for federal business and not-for-profit corporations.
At the same time, Corporations Canada will also launch a new express service for the following business corporation services:
- online incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, continuances and letters of satisfaction
- revivals by email or mail.
Fee changes
The following table shows only those fees that are changing under the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA) on January 15.
Fees for services not listed in the table remain the same.

Express service
A new express service will be available for five online transactions for business corporations (incorporations, amalgamations, amendments, continuances, and letters of satisfaction) and one service by email or mail (revival).
Express costs $100 plus the regular service fee, and the service standard is 4 business hours (online) and 1 business day (by email or mail). Online requests submitted before 4:00 p.m. (ET) will be returned the same day.
Refunds
Please note that as of January 15, Corporations Canada will stop issuing refunds for withdrawn and abandoned applications under the CBCA. This means that once a complete application has been received and paid for, the service is non-refundable. If you withdraw or abandon a request before Corporations Canada issues the certificate, you will not be eligible for a refund.
